BIOGRAPHY:

Howling Rabbits play their own brand of stompy psychedelic rock. Often descending to darker territory than the vintage sounds they draw upon. Eerie reverb swirls amongst fuzzy guitars, fueling psychedelic breakdowns. Driving songs which range from playful surf rock to spaghetti-western inspired epics.

Consistently delivering mesmerising performances, the band strives to redefine what modern music-goers have come to accept as a live show. After enjoying the quiet release of their debut album [Beware the Hunter] in 2010, and receiving rave reviews for their live performances, Howling Rabbits setup studio in guitarist Cameron Nicholls’ basement in pursuit of what they hope to be hints of their second release.

After a long cold winter of cabin fevered studio work. Howling Rabbits resurfaced in the second half of 2011 with handful of new demos and a score of new songs. Using the burning desert as a backdrop to tell a tale of paranoia, lust, yearning and the supernatural, Howling Rabbits are sure to ignite minds, ears and eyes in 2012. Sporting themselves as a five-piece with a formidable live show, Howling Rabbits are (Leith Jacobs - drums, Steve Graham - bass, Cameron Nicholls - guitar, Shaun Paton - keys, Steven Appleton - vox, guitar & keys).
